how come hotels give every necessary toiletry except toothpaste?

A lot of hotels do have toothpaste. But you have to ask for it at the front desk. But it will depend on the hotel you will be visiting. But most of the time they will have these available if you ask, but they only keep the main things available.
But as far as being able to tamper with it, anyone cold tamper with the shampoos and cause problems as well. Why this isn’t something included I’m not really sure, but I don’t think it is because the maid could tamper with it. Plus, she could still tamper with your own tube of toothpaste.
